New Beast In Market (XUV7OO)

Mahindra XUV700 is a five and seven-seat SUV by Mahindra launched at the end of September 2021. It comes with four distinctive variants and three different powertrain options. This compact SUV takes on the Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and MG Astor.

LOOKS

• The XUV700 is the first model in the company’s product line-up to feature the new brand logo
• This logo – with its sharp edges and three-dimensional finish – looks snazzy and contemporary, especially in the chrome finish. It sits on a new-fangled grille design. Although this grille has the same ameliorate vibe which was our initial viewpoint when we saw Thar’s grille for the first time.
• The double-vertical louvre panning across the blacked-out grille frame is new. They are adjoined by a new headlamp layout which seems inspired by Renault's lobster-claw design seen on their international models like Megane and Arkana.  

• Look into the finer details and the headlamp’s lightning signature has a twin-strip surround, black inserts (with many indentations) and LED lights making it slightly busy. But the overall shape of the headlamp lends the XUV a very masculine appeal

The feature list is impressive for its length and how it’s been spread out.:-

• One screen is a touchscreen for the infotainment while the other is for the driver’s instrument cluster, a’la Mercedes. 
• It is paired with a 6-speaker audio setup, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Alexa Assistant.

SPACE

• The seats are large and generous, especially up front, and the cushioning, though a touch on the firm side, offers good all-round support, keeping you free from aches even after long hours in the cabin. 
• The XUV700 comes in 5- and 7-seat configurations, but it’s the three-row version we were testing. 
• While the legroom in the middle row may not be as generous as the Hector or Safari, there is ample space and even tall passengers will be comfy, despite the massive panoramic sunroof's thick frame eating a bit into the headroom.
• Despite the 50mm increase in wheelbase over the XUV500, third-row room isn’t that much, and headroom too is very limited here. There are, however, dedicated AC vents and the glass area is quite large.
• With the third row up, boot space is limited, but there’s ample luggage room with the third row folded down. Shifting the spare wheel’s location from under the boot floor to under the chassis has also freed up more room, but we are not sure how convenient this arrangement is when it comes to changing a flat.

Mahindra XUV700 is currently available in Petrol and Diesel engines. The 1999 cc Petrol engine generates a power of 197.13bhp@5000rpm and a torque of 380nm@1750-3000rpm. The 2198 cc Diesel engine generates a power of 182.38bhp@3500rpm and a torque of 450Nm@1750-2800rpm. Mahindra XUV700 is available in both Manual & Automatic transmission.

ABOUT MAHINDRA MARAZZO

This car is inspired from a shark as told by the Mahindra and its design elements also have shark theme . This car is the first car with the front wheel ladder frame and this car is made for the large families as this car is packed with a good space as well as features. The seats of these car are good but not as that as that much good in its rivals but you will not get uncomfortable for long and short journeys.

Mahindra has done some amazing things in terms of the space in this car and it rivals its more prices car in terms of space . The head room and knee room in this car is just amazing and in 2 second row , on the captain seats you can also sit with crossing your legs.

Mahindra has also done good homework in this car for the utility places as this car has lots of places for keeping your nick nacks as it has space in center console for keeping your coke cans and it also comes with a cover so to hide it with children and between the dashboard there is also space for keeping your chocolates and other stuff . 1 L bottle can be easily fitted in all the floor doors .

The boot space of this car with all the seats up is 190 Litres and the boot space with the third passenger seats down is 680 Litres and with the captain seats also down the space is 1055 Litres

The car suspension setup is also very good as it performs very well on bad roads and there is very little bumps which can be felt in the cabin.

The other good thing in this car when you are driving in this car the cabin is very silent you barely hear the sound of engine in this car . But that said the engine of this car must have some extra power as its rival has many better to offer in terns of power.

This car was launched in January of  2017 in the automobile markets , this car has got more and more success from the day it was launched . Jeep Compass has a very well made spacious cabin as the seats color of the car is white which give it more airy feel. As , I have told the seats of these car is comfortable the other thing which add on this is the good leg room and knee room and it is wider car from back so sitting of three passengers will not be a problem at all.

This car also good in terms of utility section as in the doors you can keep the 1L bottles and the glove box is also of decent size . You can also keep your stuff in the center console as well and in the front armrest too.

The boot of the Compass is also very wide and there is no loading lib so keeping that big boxes will not be that much problem at all . So total boot space of compass is of 438L.

This car has got recently facelift and this car is also was a nice looking car because in its facelift there is too much going on its design which makes its little bit disturbing too much but from the car overall look you can get the feel of SUV stance , so by not talking too much of its design we will talk about its interiors .

This car has got piano black finish in the cabin the cabin looks good but catches dust very frequently. The seats of this car is are good for side support and knee support but there cushioning is not good so finding the ideal driving position is difficult.

This car is better in space as compared to that of the jeep compass because it is a 7 seater and when we fold the rear most seats the boot increases in a huge amount and the second seats have the option of the Captain seats and bench seats .

The space in this car also good for keeping your utility places as the doors can have easily that 1L bottle and the glove box is much better than the size of the glove box in the jeep compass. In this car the knee room and shoulder room are good but the less cushioning seats decreases the comfort.

This car comes with boot space of 93 L with all the seats up and this boot space is mainly not for keeping your big stuff but with rear seats fold the boot increases to 702 L which is very large and the rear seats make the surface flat so keeping the big boxes will not be that much problem .

Both of the engine are quite powerful and of the best engine at this price range there is only one petrol engine and this car is more known for its diesel engine and this car is quite powerful and with the all wheel drive configuration and by this it also become a quite good contender for offroading as well.

This car is good for both the highway and city purposes as it has very light clutch and light steering wheel which make it very easy to drive , the bad thing about this car is that it does not have that much punch or power in the engine which is offered by the diesel engine of jeep compass . 

This car is not as tough on bad roads as compared to jeep compass you will feel the bumps in the cabin this is because its suspension is on the softer side and the front suspension is McPherson Strut and rear suspension is Multi link. This car has got better brakes than the one in the jeep compass but its seats remove the overall comfort in this car.

Ciaz has been always been a car which is one of the best car in the space as it has too much leg space and head space in the rear seats that you can sit in the car by crossing your legs and with the comfortable seats it give a perfect combination. This car is also good for the passengers who are above 6 feet.

The utility sections are also good in this car as there are large space inside the glove box and front rear armrest so that you can keep your stuff without any space problem , the other place is beside the steering wheel on which you hide the things from others. You can put 1 liter bottle in all the 4 doors and two diet cans in the center console.

The boot space of this car is 510L which is best in this segment , so this car is one of the best car in terms of space.

The things which make this car better in driving dynamics is it is ground clearance which is 170mm which make it easy to pass over pot holes without any problem , the other good thing is braking it is good in braking as compare to Verna.

ABOUT HYUNDAI VERNA

This car is all new car and it is based on the new K2 platform on which its big brother Elantra is based by which it make this car little more space. The best thing about this car is its design it is good from all the angles and one of the best looking cars in the market , design are subjective so not talking on that , the other good thing about this car is the feature list and the seats of this car . The seat are more comfortable than its rivals and are perfectly inclined for your back support.

SPACE IN CAR

This car is not that much spacious as ciaz , the leg knee room and head room is quite good enough but you cannot cross your legs. The sitting of the three passengers in the rear seats are less comfortable as that of ciaz

The good things of this car in terms of space is that it has sunroof which gives the cabin a good airy and spacious cabin. The space for keeping your nick nacks are also good as there is a space in the center console and the glove box , space inside armrest is also very good . You can easily fit 1L bottle in all the 4 doors.

The boot space of this car is also of decent size and it is of 480L , the boot is also very wide enough so keeping your stuff will not be that much problem.

This engine comes with 6 speed Manual transmission & 6 speed Automatic transmission.

It gives 17kmpl in city and 22kmpl on highway.

The 1.4L engine is under power engine and it is only for customers attraction while the other two 1.6L Petrol and Diesel engine are the most powerful engine in the segment and these engines are both in city conditions as well as highway conditions and you will get power from the time you put your leg on accelerator.

The only thing which is a little downside is its ground clearance , its ground clearance is 165mm which can make to get touch on large pot holes but on the bad roads this car drives very good as the suspension is on little stiffer side . You will enjoy a lot in driving this car on the Highways.

Hyundai Verna price starts at Rs 7.86 Lakhs and goes up to Rs 12.98 Lakhs. Petrol Verna price start at Rs 7.86 Lakhs . Diesel Verna price starts at Rs 9.86 Lakhs. It also comes in four variants E(base) , EX, SX and SX(O)(top).
